Field Technician

Experienced Geotechnical Field Technician

Qualifications:

· We are looking for an experienced field technician with a strong work ethic and professional attitude.

· Must have experience using a moisture density gauge.

· Must be able to lift and move up to 75 lbs.

· Must have a valid CA driver's license, a good driving record and reliable transportation.

· Must be computer literate.

· Must have experience reading grading and drainage plans.

· Must have a minimum of 1 year experience in the field of construction.

Responsibilities:

· Performing QA/QC field observations while work is in progress, following design reports and documents, collecting samples using a gauge to determine moisture density content, and delivering samples for laboratory testing.

· During the testing and observation process, prepare accurate and detailed documentation for daily review.

· Experience performing routine laboratory field and soils tests including but not limited to maximum density, plasticity index, consolidation, expansion index, direct shear, and other various soil tests.

Full Description: 

· We're looking for a person with strong initiative, who will perform routine to complex inspection and testing of construction materials in the laboratory and field to verify conformance with construction plans and specifications.

· The technician will prepare daily reports and data sheets and may be called upon to perform various tasks at the discretion of the supervisor.
