Immediate opening for a full time Project Engineer. 

We specialize in providing Geotechnical Reports (soil reports) for projects, large and small. We have over 20 years of experience with local cities and counties. We are located in Watsonville, CA. and serve Santa Cruz, Monterey, San Benito and Santa Clara Counties.

Our projects include custom homes, additions to existing homes, multi-family residential developments, commercial buildings, mixed use buildings and land divisions. 

Responsibilities:

Report Preparation

Review of plans for conformance with reports.

Proposal preparation including scope, budget, schedule, and resource management.

Plan and execute geotechnical investigations and design activities.

Performs on simple and technically complex projects under the supervision of senior staff.

Client interaction and project management.

Perform and review geotechnical engineering analyses (bearing capacity, earth pressures, liquefaction, slope stability, etc.)

Field exploration including logging of drill holes and test pits.

Laboratory testing. 

Observation and testing services during construction operations.

Requirements:

BS/MS in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering. 

Minimum 2 years of experience in the geotechnical field.

A professional license is preferred but not required (PE or GE).

Be flexible, able to work independently, detailed-oriented, well organized, self-motivated, able to communicate well verbally and in writing.

Valid CA drivers license

Computer literate in Microsoft Office, Word Perfect and CAD
